FAQs

Q: How do I submit?
A: Research your world. Write a fantastic story. And, when you are ready, email your complete manuscript to submissions@ksapublishers.com. The manuscript should be single spaced, 12 pt, Times New Roman with 1″ margins. (You must be 18 years old or older to enter into a publishing contract with KSA Publishing.)

Q: What length does my manuscript need to be?
A: The required length of your submission will vary by World and the requirements of the author licensor.

Current Worlds:
Bridgewater Brides: 35,000 – 45,000 words

Q: Are there rules for the worlds? Where do I find them?
A: We highly recommend you read at least one (more is better) story in the KSA World’s canon. In addition to reading the currently published works, general content guidelines regarding heat level, length, and other requirements can be found in the Content Guidelines section of each individual world.

Q: Where will readers buy my story?
A: KSA Publishing will distribute your story for sale at most major digital book retailers such as Amazon, Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Google, ARe, and more…

Q: What royalty rates are offered to authors for published works?
A: Both Licensors and the Author will receive a percentage of net author royalties for each book sold from all retailers. See individual World guidelines for author royalty rates.

Q: How will my story be priced?
A: Pricing may vary by World and word count of the work. See individual world guidelines for this information.

Q: Do I have to pay a fee to submit or publish my story?
A: No. KSA Publishing is a full service publisher. You will never pay for professional quality editing, cover art, or any other service.

Q: What about my rights?
A: Rights to individual characters will vary depending on the licensor guidelines contracted with each individual Author’s world. In some cases, the rights to secondary characters will remain yours. The rights to all locations, main characters, and copyrightable content will become the property of KSA Publishing and the author licensor for the term of the copyright. Your story becomes part of a complex and growing world. Other authors will build on your story elements as you built upon theirs. Due to the nature of this shared content, rights to all works shall be licensed to the world for the complete term of the copyright.

Q: When do I get paid?
A: Authors are paid quarterly. At this time, KSA Publishing does not offer advances.
