About this ebook

Atlan Warlord Jorik guards the Coalition Fleet's Processing Center on Earth, protecting warriors and brides without mercy or distraction...until he sees Gabriela. She is everything the beast within him craves. Soft. Curved. Unafraid. He dreams of courting her properly, wooing her into accepting his beast's claim, and making her his—body and soul. Danger strikes and his beast takes control—resulting in his immediate removal from Earth. From Gabriela.

Gabriela fell in love with an alien Warlord who fought to save her life, then disappeared, only to learn he was later killed in a battle with the Hive. She moves on with her life as best she can, with one beautiful reminder of their time together. A baby.

When she learns Jorik isn't dead, but banished to the Colony, she and the baby are sent to find him. The problem? He's not just contaminated, he's been newly matched by the Interstellar Brides Program. And not to her.

I WANTED HER TO BE MY SWEET TREAT While this book is part of a series, it reads well as a stand-alone. The Interstellar Brides program was designed to match up mates from Earth to Alien on various planets. But, this story will start on Earth with various aliens working at the Interstellar Bride Processing Center, where brides are matched with aliens. Warlord Jorik will be working in Miami and will watch a beautiful woman walk to work each day. He even goes to the shop, Sweet Treats, and visits with her. While neither of them is in the IBP program, Jorik and his beast know that she is their mate. He is very protective of her. “My apologies, Warlord, I didn’t realize she was yours.” “Humanity had a lot to learn. Our females were revered. Respected. Treated with the utmost care and treasured for what they truly were—precious.” The plot will have Jorik and Gabriela becoming friends as he visits the ice cream shop, and they chat. She will introduce him to new flavors of ice cream. But when there is an attempted robbery, he will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe—even killing the criminal and taking Gabriela to her home. It doesn’t take long for these two to become intimate, and then he is called back to the faculty, and from there, everything changes. Jorik is sent back to fight the Hive and will be captured along with several other Atlan warlords. When they escape it isn’t without complications, and they can’t return to Atlan, but instead, they will live with other Hive survivors. “They’d captured a beast and made me a monster. I could never undo what they’d done to me. But I didn’t care. I was still Warlord Jorik of Atlan. My mind was my own, thank the gods. And this body they’d made for me? It was mine now, too.” But his time from Earth will have alarming news for both Gabriela and him. She has a secret she never got to share with him, and then she is told he is dead. He believes she has married someone else when he contacts IBP. Is this the end of their happiness? Or will Warden Egara discover the truth and become involved? What is the protocol for a human-alien baby born on Earth? “You are a gift, mate. And you are beautiful. Even more beautiful now than you were before. Every curve, every mark on your body is precious to me. I am not the same, either. We have been through much while apart. We are different, but we know each other.” “She had taken a male lost in dark despair and given me hope. She’d been my key to survival, my drive, my fight, my dream as the Hive had tortured me. Every moment had been worth I, for it brought me here to her.” Will Jorik and Gabriela have a second chance at happiness? Will the birth of their child be enough to unite them? Is there anything that can alter their chance of forever? “You are mine, Jorik. We might not have been matched by a stupid computer, but we’re perfect for each other.” “Mine. No one else’s. One look and I knew you belonged to me. Never will you be taken from me again. Never will we be apart. You are mine, and I am yours.” The story shows that when two are meant to be, they know it and nothing can change what their bodies, hearts, and souls feel. The story is wrought with passion, separation, desire, and determination. While the birth of a child is a blessing and sacred, the love between an Atlan and his mate is forever.

Atlan Warlord Jorik is guarding the Coalition Fleet's Processing Center on Earth, assigned to protect warriors and brides. Gabriela works nearby and walks to work, giving Jorik the opportunity to see her and want her. He is drawn to her plus size figure and pursues her. However, when a dangerous situation arises that could harm Gabriela, Jorik does what Atlans do best! He takes her to her apartment and two of them get together to take care of their strong attraction. When Jorik is ordered to return to the Processing Center, he is exiled from Earth. Gabriela is pregnant from their short time together. Now she needs to track down where Jorik has gone, despite the unforeseen obstacles – such as being told he was dead! When she learns Jorik is not dead, but had been banished to the Colony, she and the baby go to find him. Can she do that? Will it be too late for them? And will Jorik be able to get out of the new matching arranged by the Interstellar Brides Program – matched with another woman! Once again, this author absolutely amazes me with the quality of her books. Her writing flows effortlessly and takes the reader into adventures like no other! The story line is excellent, providing a touch of tension and constant suspense for the reader as the plot unfolds. The characters are developed well and very likable, the hero strong, honorable, brave – Atlans are my favorite! The reader will connect with Jorik and Gabriela and strongly experience the fear and frustration for her as she tries to find the father of her child. Don’t miss this extraordinary book! This one is a bit different from the usual path to happiness since it occurs on Earth and they find each other the old-fashioned way! But this is a love story you will adore! Be part of the experience and enjoy every moment!

There is a definite reason that I love the Atlans and especially those on the Colony. Grace has given us another fantastic story (though it really kicks into super high gear once the couple is reunited on the Colony). This one does not start out with an Interstellar Bride but with an Atlan and his beast who have found their mate the old fashioned way - by chance. Jorik's journey to slowly win his mate is catapulted due to unforeseen circumstances and those circumstances have dire consequences for our couple. With all the different forces conspiring to keep our couple apart, that shiny beacon know as Warden Egara once again works her magic. I really loved the way Jorik and the rest of the Colony inhabitants reacted to baby Jori (these Colony stories break my heart with each and every mention of an unmated Colony warrior). The twist with Jorik's Interstellar Bride once again reveals just how awesome it would be to have an Atlan of your own. This story leaves me with one giant burning question for Grace Goodwin - WHEN IS WULF GETTING HIS STORY? Needless to say, I gobbled this book up so quickly, that now I just want the next book in the series and though I love the Atlans and everyone on the Colony and want their stories sooner rather than later, I know there are other stories to tell. I started this series on book #2 (Mated to the Warriors) and I believe it has gotten better and better. In my opinion some of the stories are true stand-alones (Trion, Rogue 5 and Vikens) and others are more satisfying if you have the whole background on the Hive war (Prillons, Atlans, and Colony). It doesn't really matter how you read them but READ them!
